Small temple outside the Ayutthaya compound. There was no one there when I visited but if you have time it is worth visiting.

Wat Choeng Tha is located along the Lopburi River or Khlong Mueang. Outside the island of Ayutthaya in the north The area opposite Thai Sanom Fort and the mouth of Khlong Tho Ancient Palace. Facing south towards the Lopburi River. Currently living in Village No. 3, Ban Choeng Tha, Tha Wasukri Subdistrict. Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province There are monks staying for the Buddhist Lent. Phra Prang is the president of the temple. The front or south side of the main prang is connected by a temple. The chapel is located to the west of the main prang. surrounded by walls and the sermon hall is located in front of the temple on the Lopburi River. Built in the Ayutthaya period. There is no evidence of its existence in historical documents as to who built it. There is only a legend that has been passed down. A rich man had a beautiful daughter who fell in love with a young man and ran away. The rich man waited for his daughter with sorrow and love, so he built a palace to wait for her. Hopefully, if the couple comes back to ask for forgiveness, they will forgive and give the house away. But after waiting for many years, his daughter never returned. So the millionaire built a temple and donated the building to the temple and called it "Wat Khoi Tha". In addition, this temple also has many other names, namely Wat Tin Tha, Wat Tin, Wat Klang, and Wat Kosawat. The name will probably be changed to Wat Choeng Tha. During the reign of King Mongkut, King Rama IV of Rattanakosin. The vicinity of Wat Choeng Tha used to be the location of the ceremonial boat dock during the Ayutthaya period. And some historical documents have said that Chao Phraya Chakri brought his son, Hong Kong Chinese named Sin, who was 9 years old as his adopted son, to be a disciple of Phra Achan Thongdee Maha Thera of Wat Kosawat (Wat Choeng Tha) at this temple when he was of age. 21 years old, was ordained with Phra Achan Thongdee for about 3 years before leaving to serve in government service. Later, Mr. Sin served as Phraya Tak. When Ayutthaya lost to the Burmese in the year B.E. 1767 Phraya Tak brought troops from Chanthaburi to recover the city from the Burmese. The interesting thing inside this temple is the main prang, art from the early Ayutthaya period. It is a four-tiered prang. The front porch (south side) connects to the temple. and has prangs in all 3 directions as subordinates The temple was added in the late Ayutthaya period. Inside there is a Buddha image enshrined. The chapel is located to the west of the prang and is an old chapel. There is a small single Sema leaf around the chapel. Carved with white sandstone There are patterns on both the front and back. Some are in damaged condition. Sacred Hall Built during the reign of King Rama IV, it is a 2-story building with rectangular windows on the upper floor. The ground floor windows are arched. King Taksin the Great Shrine It is located for people to come and pay homage.
